The Nineveh Women Organization, founded in 2019 by the visionary trio Maysam, Haneen, and Ruaa, emerges as a formidable non-governmental, non-profit entity passionately dedicated to empowering women affected by terrorism. As a beacon of hope, this influential NGO stands at the forefront, ardently addressing the profound psychological and physical consequences inflicted upon its members during the ISIS occupation of Mosul Governorate. At its core, the Nineveh Women Organization is committed to providing unwavering support to women across economic, social, and political spectrums, transcending the mere mitigation of trauma. Originally forged by women of Sunni Arab descent, the organization’s evolution is a testament to its inclusive ethos, welcoming individuals from diverse regions and religious backgrounds through community reconciliation initiatives. Our Vision
Our vision is to play a pivotal role in constructing a society characterized by peace, democracy, diversity, and security, ensuring the protection of human rights, women’s rights, and freedoms, alongside the promotion of gender equality. We strive to disseminate a culture of gender equality and initiate dialogue among women from diverse components within Nineveh Governorate. Providing Holistic Support for Young Women and Girls

Achievements
- The participation of the Yazidi women in the Yazidi New Year celebrations and its presentation Give roses and invite them to restore confidence with other ingredients
- Holding a public symposium on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day inside the University of Mosul, in the presence of the High Commission for Human Rights and some defenders. For those interested in this field and allits components
- Shed light on feminist journalists by holding training courses on The importance of the media in spreading peace and the signing of the charter for the liberation of the media in it
- The Youth Voices for Peace project is implemented with the support of an organization impunity watch Which aims to involve women in transitional justice processes in Hamdaniya, Tal Afar and Sinja
- A celebration on the occasion of International Women’s Day, March 8, at a university Mosul, in the presence of women, activists and parliamentarians, during which the delivery of Women's voices for their rights and justice
- Implementation of the Women for Justice project, funded by the Dutch impunity watch organization, which aims to provide legal and psychological support to women affected by terrorism and conduct legal awareness sessions for women in all fields and raise health awareness
